What exactly is measured
The SEO score in the editor
Every post, page and public custom post type gets a score from 0 to 100, recalculated on each save. The checklist in the editor box covers 14 weighted checks: focus keyword set and used in title, description, URL and first paragraph, keyword density between 0.5 and 3 percent, SEO title of 30 to 60 characters, meta description of 120 to 160 characters, at least 300 words, one internal and one external link, an image with alt text, a plausible canonical and a schema type. 80 and above shows green, 50 to 79 yellow. The full-site audit refreshes stored scores and lists every page below 50.
Readability in the site language
The content analysis reports Flesch Reading Ease, the Flesch-Kincaid grade and the Gunning Fog index. German sites use the Amstad formula and Italian sites the Franchina and Vacca formula, because the English coefficients rate ordinary German prose as nearly unreadable. The language follows the WordPress site language. Further checks flag an average sentence length above 25 words, more than 20 percent complex words, passive voice above 15 percent, transition words in fewer than 25 percent of sentences and more than 25 percent of sentences over 30 words.
E-E-A-T signals
The E-E-A-T analysis looks for concrete evidence in four groups. Experience: first-person phrases in English, German and Italian, real-world examples and own images. Expertise: an author bio of at least 50 characters, author schema, credentials such as Dr., certified or Sachverständiger, and content depth. Authoritativeness: citations, links to authoritative sources and original data. Trust: a recent update, contact, about and privacy pages, HTTPS and a review note. Each missing signal becomes a suggestion with a priority.

How is the SEOWing SEO score calculated?+
The score in the editor is the sum of 14 weighted checks, scaled to 0 to 100. SEO title length, meta description length and word count weigh 10 points each, focus keyword, keyword in title and schema type 8 each, the remaining checks 4 to 6. A score of 80 or more is shown green, 50 to 79 yellow and below 50 red. It is recalculated every time the post is saved.
Does SEOWing measure readability for German texts?+
Yes. When the WordPress site language is German, SEOWing calculates Flesch Reading Ease with the Amstad formula, the standard German adaptation, and counts syllables as vowel groups so umlauts are handled correctly. Passive voice is detected through forms of werden, and German transition words are recognised. Italian sites use the Franchina and Vacca formula, all other languages the original English formula.
Does on-page scoring work with Elementor pages?+
Yes. SEOWing reads the visible text from the Elementor data instead of the mostly empty post content, so word count, keyword checks in the SEO score and readability reflect what visitors actually see. Heading checks also use the Elementor structure and report a missing H1, several H1 headings and skipped levels such as H2 to H4. If an Elementor page has no extractable text, the post content is used instead.
